Staff members of Dusckas-Taylor Funeral Home are caring and experienced professionals who understand that each family is unique and has personal requests and traditions. These requests and traditions are of utmost importance to our staff of licensed funeral directors.

Christine Wagner Administrative Assistant

Christine spent the early years of her life in Rochester, NY before moving with her large family to Muncie, IN in 1968.  She was a member of the first graduating class of Heritage Hall Christian School in Muncie, having earned her college prepatory diploma in 1980.  She is a 1985 graduate of Bob Jones University where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Home Economics Education.  Upon graduation from college, Christine taught seventh and eight grade Science at Inter City Christian School in Allen Park, MI from 1985 to 1987.  After moving with her growing family to Erie in 1997, she further advanced her educational skills by facilitating the education of her three children at home over a period of 15 years, which she found very rewarding.  Christine's career in the funeral home began in 2015 at Dusckas Funeral Home, where she assumed several different positions; and in July, 2017, she joined the staff at Dusckas-Taylor Funeral Home as the Administrative Assistant to the Funeral Director, where she greatly enjoys her varied position.

Christine is a resident of Harborcreek, and worships at Erie First Assembly.  She has a mother's heart, having spent many years of her life raising and educating her children.  Her 30 years as a ministry wife have given her much love and compassion for hurting people, making her well suited for her position.  Christine has had a seamstress and alterations business since her teenage years, and also enjoys knitting, decorating and designing, perennial gardening, music and singing, reading, writing, biking and kayaking.  Besides the enjoyment derived from spending time with her family and friends, Christine's greatest passion in life is her faith, which is based on her personal relationship with the Lord.

Robert D. Taylor Supervisor & Funeral Director

Robert is a native of North East, PA. He is a 1991 graduate of North East High School and a 1995 graduate of Gannon University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mortuary Science. In 1996, he graduated with honors from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science.  Upon graduation from mortuary school, Robert began his career with the Dusckas Funeral Home as a resident intern. Over the years as a licensed Pennsylvania funeral director, he has been privileged to learn his craft following in the Dusckas tradition of funeral service.

 

Robert is a resident of Lawrence Park Township. He is a fifth generation member of Saint Gregory R.C. Church in North East. Robert is an Oblate of Mount Saint Benedict Monastery (Erie). He is a member of the National Funeral Directors Association, Pennsylvania Funeral Directors Association and past president of the Erie and Crawford County Funeral Directors Association. He currently serves on the Inter-Church Ministries board of directors and has previously served on the Erie Playhouse board of directors as well as the Benetwood Apartments board of directors where he served as past president.  Robert enjoys writing, reading, caring for his pet dogs and spending time with his family.

Nancy E. Dusckas Funeral Director

Nancy is a life-long resident of Erie, PA. She is a 1971 graduate of East High School. Nancy is also a 1975 graduate of Taylor University (Upland, Indiana) where she earned a Bachelor of the Arts degree in Social Work and a 1980 graduate of Gannon University where she earned a Master of Science degree in Counseling. In 1981, she graduated from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science and joined her late father, C.J. “Gus” Dusckas, in the family business. For over 30 years, Nancy has been a licensed Pennsylvania funeral director and has devoted her career to serving the needs of all Erie families.

 

Nancy resides in Lawrence Park Township and is an active member of the Wesley United Methodist Church (in Wesleyville) where she has been a life-long member.  She is a member and former district deputy of the Order of the Eastern Star.  She is also a member and past president of the Penn Lakes Girl Scouts Council and the Erie and Crawford County Funeral Directors Association. Other organizations where Nancy holds life membership include the American Association of University Women and the Girl Scouts.  She enjoys golfing, water skiing and canoeing. Besides caring for her beloved pets, Nancy’s life passions are family, faith and friends.

Barbara T. Campbell-Terrizzi Funeral Director

Barbara Campbell-Terrizzi has become the newest member of our professional staff.  A native of Erie, she is a 1993 graduate of Villa Maria Academy and a 1997 graduate of the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science.  Barbara has been a licensed and practicing funeral director in Erie for over 17 years.

 

In addition to keeping a full professional schedule, Barb also balances a busy family life as a wife and mother of five.  She is an active member of Blessed Sacrament R.C. Church in Erie.

 

We at Dusckas-Taylor are delighted to add Barbara's wealth of experience and her caring presence to our family of funeral service professionals.  Together with Robert Taylor, Barbara stands ready to offer the same level of sincere and compassionate guidance that has become the hallmark of our service.
